How To Choose Your Growth Lane & Sleep Well At Night
Most business owners say they’re investing back into their businesses. However, I find many struggle to tell me exactly how they are doing that. If you don’t know how much you’re investing or how those investments are doing, you can’t make intentional plans for the future. Goals should not be abstract milestones we hope and pray to reach one day. There has to be a plan, steps, and timeline in place to ensure those goals are met. Hold yourself accountable with your investments and make informed decisions about next steps.

MIKE BREWER
Senior Advisor – Synergos, CEO of the Brewer Companies
I Got Schooled About Maximizing My Evaluation, What Did I Learn?
After determining what it would take to sell his company, Mike Brewer from EO Arizona accepted that famous invitation from the investment banker, “It doesn’t hurt to meet, let’s just talk…” From there, starts the story and learnings from realizing he wasn’t the great negotiator he thought he was; his business was worth a lot more than the 3.5 X he thought he was happy with, he left a lot more on the table, and there’s an emotional process that was unanticipated.
Most Entrepreneurs do one transaction in their lifetime, but when you go to sell, you’ll be dealing with brokers or private equity and/or investment bankers make this their life’s work. Be prepared and here’s what you’ll take away from Mike’s presentation: How not to fall in love with the process | How to maximize your evaluation and sale | How to think about, engage and inform your team and family members | How to think about, engage and inform the investment bankers / brokers | How to orient to the attorneys (your and theirs) | The psychology and emotional impact of the process and sale.

Ace Chapman is returning to speak at DealExchange because of his unique approach to buying and growing businesses, and we’re thrilled to feature him this year for a deep dive into finding funding for acquisition down payments and how to 10x the exit by exiting the right way.

ACE CHAPMAN
Chief Executive Officer at Freedom Internet Group, Inc (FIGI)
Ace Chapman has had a real passion for acquiring business and putting deals together since his first acquisition 20 years ago at age 19. It was that acquisition that opened his eyes to the massive benefits of acquiring a business over the risks of starting one from scratch.
Ace is always looking for businesses to invest in or acquire, re-position and sell. While Ace focuses on acquiring small businesses some of those deals have lead to strategic partnerships and clients that include McDonalds, Oracle, IBM, Harper-Collins Publishing, Fedex and Uber
